It's Not What You Think
Expecting your partner to react like you react or want what you want or feel like you feel is a major obstacle in relationships. Projecting your mindset onto your partner causes you both pain.
You and/or your partner are not the cause of pain, it is the challenges between you. Your challenges are your keys to growth. Calibrate your expectations, free yourself up to focus on the challenges and consciously choose to enjoy more unconditional love.
